Anyone looking to get out, have fun, and get some exercise.

Why

It's good casual fun! If you're looking for some good recreational volleyball or just a beginner. This is for you!

Tuesday Night Recreational Volleyball with BBQ

I wanted to let you know about a fun event that will be happening every Tuesday night all
summer long.

When this is:
Every Tuesday night
Starts First Tuesday in May
All Summer long
6pm - sunset

What this is:
This is sand volleyball in Oakbrook Terrace at Drennan Park..
Hanging out in the park.
This is just pure fun.

A little confusing to get to at first (see map & directions)

What this is not
This is NOT a league.
This is definitely NOT serious volleyball.
There are no umpires.

Can't play? - That's OK, we don't care. We're not that good anyway.
We'll even attempt to teach you although we're not qualified. We're there for fun.

Don't want to play? - That's OK too. Just come and hang out with us.

I am usually there.

If anyone wants to be the focal point person for an after-game gathering at Redstone bar/restaurant, let me know. I am not sure I can be there. Figure that the gathering would be about 8pm.

"It was nice having the combination of playing and talking with people. Chris and Bright said they had a really great time. I (fran) was unfortantlly stuck at a meeting for my son's prom."

  • Laurie
"We had 2 great games before the rain started. Conversation was good afterwards and everyone was very nice!"

  • LYNN
"Never made it! Ominous storm clouds and horrific traffic.......next time."

  • Rose
"We all seemed to have a great time. I'm not a very good volleyball player, but felt comfortable there. Besides the rain, which really didn't put a damper on the time, I had fun. Thanks! I'll be back if that's okay."

"We managed to get a couple games in before the rain came. Everyone was really nice, and we had a blast. After it rained, we hung out under the kiosk and talked, and people stayed around for a while. It was a nice time!"
