Two-pronged Meetup attack! First we're going to work out your bodies, then we're going to work out your vocal chords (and possibly kidneys...and your liver). This is Cleveland, a blue-collar, working person kinda town. So let's get to work, then we play.
First! You've heard of Crossfit. There's a Meetup for it even. And you know you're not in the shape you want to be (I know I'm not). SO! At 6:30pm we'll be working out en masse at the Superior location. We'll get instruction and get our asses rewardingly whooped (don't go there - you know I'm talking about exercise here) by the fine gents at Crossfit. Never heard of it? THEN! Because I recently saw an 80's band that filled me with more ideas for your aural torture, and because people have been asking for another round, and because the last time I saw him the guy that runs it told me how pissed his girlfriend was at me for getting him so trashed the last time I was there...we're KARAOKEING at Corky's! That's right, it's round four. That place is still standing. We'll see what we can do about it this time.
Crossfit has showers, so no worries about being all sweaty and trying to sing. If you just want to join us for karaoke, then we should be there around 8:30 or 9pm. You can text us and find out where we are as well. The earlier we get there, the more our names will get called, and the more we can get our liquid courage up!

What is CrossFit? CrossFit is a core strength and conditioning program. It is a deliberate program designed to optimize physical competence in ten fitness domains: Cardiovascula and respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy. It's the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special ops units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide.
How does it work? Each day CrossFit posts a workout-of-the-day (WOD). A Cleveland CrossFit instructor will lead groups through the WOD, providing guidance on scaling and load and intesity appropriate to age, sex, and fitness level. Anyone at any fitness level can do the workout. You do not need to be "in shape" to start.
