FANCY DANCING SOME SAMBA?

This particular evening is especially to Members of this Group who have seen TV coverage of the Rio Carnaval and think "hmm, I'd love to be able to do this dance..." Well, wonder no more....

Yes, I know it's the middle of the week but this particular evening, shake off the mid-week blues and indulge yourself in some samba. Firstly, we kick the evening off with a *FREE* samba dance class. Don't worry, these classes are catered form absolute beginners and semi pros as well. The lessons are fun and are a much enjoyable way of burning up the calories than the gym...

If you do not fancy taking part in the dance class, you are more than welcome to sit back and watch from the comfort of your seat.

After the samba dance class, there is live entertainment provided by Capital do Samba. Capital do Samba play laid-back bossa nova as well as other popular Brasilian songs. Whilst they're on stage this is also a very good opportunity to practice what you have learnt during the free samba lesson.

Once inside this venue, you can be forgiven for mistakingly believing that it is indeed a Friday and NOT a Wednesday evening. Especially since the dance floor can be quite lively with some people dancing some very furious samba.

In between sets, the dj keeps the dancefloor busy with some infectious Brasilian club tunes against images of various samba schools at last year's Rio Carnaval serving as a backdrop.
