This event will also give you a chance to see our amazing wine collection and our prices that beat many 'MO' of our competitors. With the closing of the purple place up the street, Dana Point Cigar and Wine would be happy to show you a nice wine tasting experience with much more economical prices, still centrally located in beautiful !
The following wines will be included for the wine tasting:
Rombauer Vineyards
2005 Cabernet Sauvignon
Napa Valley, California
Rombauer Vineyards’ 2005 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a rich, luscious wine with complex fruit. Hints of mint, eucalyptus, and cedar are present in the nose while moderate tannins balance layers of dark berries and black cherries on the palate. This is a fruit driven Cabernet Sauvignon that has the tannin structure to last many years, but drinks well now.
Justin ~ Isosceles
2006 Red Wine
Paso Robles, California
The 2006 ISOSCELES is inky purple with a slight red hue around the rim. Aromas of blackberry, black plum, leather, mocha, and cassis combine with light layers of caramel, vanilla and a touch of smoke resulting from the extended oak aging. The entry is filled with red and black fruit. A balance of softness and acidity segues into a mid palate with length and weight. Seamless, integrated tannins marry with ripe fruit, and flavors of red currant, butterscotch and hint of pencil lead on the finish of this wine.
Reynold's Family Winery ~ Persistence
2004 Red Wine
Napa Valley, California
Big and luscious! This baby delivers some major league fruit – Bing cherries, deep blueberries, dark chocolate and a shot of exotic spices. Steve’s signature blend is once again a slam dunk! Enjoy it with a great Ribeye.
Francis Ford Coppola ~ Director's Cut
2006 Cabernet Sauvignon
Alexander Valley, California
The 2006 Director’s Cut Cabernet offers a rich perfume of plums, cherries, wild berries and cedar as well as dark, decadent flavors of blueberries, cassis, cocoa and spice. Not only are the wine’s tannins sweet and mature from the extended growing season, the flavors are ripe, lush and prolonged on the finish because of the fruit’s immense concentration.
Twenty Bench
2006 Cabernet Sauvignon
Napa Valley, California
Sweet big black fruit aromas that are expansive in the mouth and evocative of blackberries, licorice, chocolate covered cherries and cocoa powder. Slightly higher ripeness than past vintages with well integrated tannins that balance nicely with the sweet toasty oak. Distinctive character, with rich palate coating textures and lots of layers and depth - this is benchmark Napa Valley Cabernet.
Thousand Foot
2006 Pinot Noir
Russian River Valley, California
The name for our new Thousand Foot Pinot Noir was derived from growing the grapes at higher elevations (above the fog line) where the grapes spend more time in extended sunlight. This results in a wine that is rich and full of vibrant raspberry and plush cherry flavors.
After the event, we will keep the wine bar open for anyone who wishes to try our other wines. We hope to see you here!
Please, honor your RSVP. It takes time and energy to organize events. If you RSVP Yes with another group,, you do not have to do it again here. RSVP NO with a comment you joined another group. This will keep the attendance well-arranged.
